Chillán native director Patricio Valladares, and the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation present “Suspenso: International Fantasy Film Festival”, to be held on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 October at the UdeC Theater.

Wednesday 24 October, 19:00: Opening / Dialogue with director Patricio Valladares and a guest / Screening of “Nightworld”, directed by Valladares / Selection of Chilean short films / Argentinian film “Terror 5”, directed by Sebastián and Federico Rotstein.

Thursday 25 October, 18:00: Israeli film “Children of the Fall”, directed by Eitan Gafny / Second screening of Chilean short films / Award ceremony / Screening of the USA film “Pig”, directed by Adam Mason.

Patricio Valladares is director and screenwriter. Known for this work in the genre cinema, he has directed diverse films throughout his career, such as “Hidden In The Woods”, “Toro Loco: Sangriento” and the abovementioned “Nightworld”. In 2017 he won the Regional Prize of Culture “Bartolomé Giraudo” in the category of Audiovisual Arts. He’s currently working on “Embrión”, a TV miniseries that won the Audiovisual Corfo 2017.

The single admission fee for the Fantasy Film Festival is $3,000 per day. Tickets can be purchased online here, or at the Theater’s box office.
