The 2018 Cinema Mondays series presents the Finnish film “The other side of hope”. It will be screened on 9 July in the UdeC Theater, at 15:00, 19:00 and 21:30.

$1,200 (general audience) and $600 (students).

Khaled arrives after fleeing Syria, hidden in a cargo ship. His application for asylum is rejected, but he decides to stay. Meanwhile, a man named Wikström decides to make a change in his own life by opening a restaurant. One afternoon, they meet at the restaurant’s door. The young man’s dream is to find his sister, who also fled Syria. With Sakari Kuosmanen, Sherwan Haji and Kati Outinen.

Box office is open on Mondays from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 15:45 to 21:30; Tuesdays to Fridays from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 15:45 to 20:00, and Saturdays from 12:00 to 14:30 and from 15:15 to 17:00. In case of a concert, theater play or other activity, the box office will remain open until the event starts.
