The 2017 Cinema Mondays series presents the Argentinian film “El ciudadano ilustre” (“The Distinguished Citizen”). It will be screened on 6 November at 15:00, 19:00 and 21:30 in the UdeC Theater.
Daniel Mantovani, an Argentinian author who has just received the Nobel Prize for Literature, left his hometown Salas for Europe forty years ago. In the old continent, he triumphed by writing about his birthplace and the local personalities. The major of Salas invites him to return to be given the title of Distinguished Citizen, and Montavani, unexpectedly, decides to clear his packed agenda and accept the invitation.
