The 2016 Cinema Mondays series, produced by the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation, presents the Argentinian film “The Clan”. Screenings will be on Monday, May 30, at 15:00, 19:00 and 21:30 in the UdeC Theater. Entrance fee: $1,200 (general audience), $600 (students).
The apparent normality of the Puccios hides a sinister clan dedicated to kidnapping and murder. Archimedes, the patriarch, leads and plans the operations. Alejandro, the eldest son, is a rugby star and uses his popularity to avoid suspicion. The other family members are complicit to a greater or lesser degree in the crimes of the clan and live off the profits from ransoms paid by the hostages’ families. Based on the police case of the Puccio Clan which shook the Argentinian society in the early 80s.
