The 2016 Cinema Mondays series, produced by the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation, presents the film “Spotlight”. Screenings will be on Monday, May 2, at 15:00, 19:00 and 21:30 in the UdeC Theater. Entrance fee: $1,200 (general audience), $600 (students).
SPOTLIGHT tells the true story of the Boston Globe’s investigation that shook the city and caused a crisis within one of oldest and more trusted institutions of the world. When the tenacious reporters of the “Spotlight” team dig into the accusations of abuses within the Catholic Church, their investigation uncovers several decades of pederasty cover-up at the highest levels of religious, legal and government hierarchy in Boston, triggering a wave of disclosures around the world.
