The Summer Special Series of Cinema Mondays 2018, produced by the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation, presents the Chilean movie “Silence” directed by Concepción native Leo Peña, the most viewed film of the 2017 series, with more than 2,600 spectators, to be screened on Monday 8 January at 15:00, 19:00 and 21:30 in the UdeC Theater.
Ana gets a phone call saying her father had a serious car accident and has lost a lot of blood. So, she begins the search for her brother Andrés. She’ll try to convince him to save their father’s life—the problem is that father and son haven’t talked to each other for many years.
At the same time, Anna’s eldest daughter, Camila, finds out she’s pregnant and tries to find a solution with her boyfriend, while Anna’s son, Vicente, is forced to guard a mysterious package which unexpectedly vanishes. A dizzying film with three conflicts about communication failures, and an unexpected ending.
“Silencio” is starred by Amparo Noguera, Julio Jüng, Diego Casanueva, Daniela Urra, Eusebio Arenas, Diego Ruíz, Arantxa Bodenhöfer, Víctor Montero, Pablo Krögh, Andrés Sovoki, Andrés Alvarado, Ariel Mateluna and Javier Bolívar.
