For Jack, a 5-year-old kid, the room is the whole world, the place where he was born, where he eats, plays and learns with her mother. By night, Mom puts him to sleep inside the closet, in case old Nick appears. The room is Jacks’ home, while for her mother is the cubicle where she’s been confined since she was abducted, seven years ago. With incredible tenacity and inventiveness, the young woman has created in this little space a life for her son, and her love for him is the only thing that allows her to endure the confinement. However, Jack’s curiosity doesn’t cease to grow, as well as his mother’s desperation, since she knows the room won’t be able to contain them for much longer. Cast: Brie Larson, Jacob Tremblay, Joan Allen and William H. Macy, among others.
Director: Lenny Abrahamson / Country: Canada-Ireland / Duration: 118 minutes / For audiences older than 14.
