The 2017 Cinema Mondays series presents the US American film “Patriots Day”. It will be screened on 3 July at 15:00, 19:00 and 21:30 in the UdeC Theater. $1,200 (general audience) and $600 (students).
Boston, one of the oldest cities in the USA, founded in 1630, is a traditional and proud metropolis. Patriots Day commemorates the battles of Concord and Lexington, which were the first battles of the USA Independence War. Each year, the city holds the Boston Marathon, and everyone goes to celebrate in the streets. On Monday 15 April, 2013, two local terrorists carried out an attack against one of the city’s most important traditions, killing three people and wounding other 264. With Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman and Kevin Bacon, among others.
