In a sold-out UdeC Theater, the Concepción Symphony Orchestra presented the Ninth Concert of the 2015 Season, on Saturday 24th October at 19:00.

The audience was captivated by the performance of Franz Schubert’s Symphony n° 8 “Unfinished.” Then, the Orchestra joined the UdeC Choir and soloists Jessica Rivas (soprano), Claudia Cabrera (mezzosoprano), Felipe Catalán (tenor) and David Gáez (bass) in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s ‘Requiem’.

This concert was conducted by the acclaimed maestro Juan Pablo Izquierdo. Preferring fast tempi and emphasizing the violent elements in the scores, he achieved dynamic and thrilling performances of these two dramatic works.

The Concepción Symphony Orchestra will return to the UdeC Theater on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th November at 20:00, in Carl Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana’. The scenic oratorio will be performed as part of the Dance Season, by the orchestra, vocal soloists and the UdeC Choir and Ballet.
