After a tremendous success in Temuco, Antofagasta and Talca, Bci and the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation present “Bravo Piazzolla”, on Tuesday 16 October at 19:30 in the UdeC Theater. The show then will continue its tour, with performances in the theaters of Puerto Montt, Rancagua, and other cities.

As part of its commitment to culture and its continuous effort to promote access to culture throughout Chile, Banco BCI presents this acclaimed concert, an emotive journey through the most iconic creations of the Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla, the father of modern tango.

“I have always said that the private companies have a big responsibility in supporting the development of arts, so I greatly celebrate and appreciate that Bci continues this tradition of supporting culture in its many expressions—painting, theater, music”, says Roberto Bravo.

The renowned pianist will perform with his ensemble of musicians: Monserrat Prieto (violin), Nelson Arriagada (double bass), Rodolfo Jorquera (bandoneón), and Katty Campos (voice).

“As part of our vision as a bank, we are interested in and committed to make an effective contribution to preserve a healthy environment and to increase the country’s social, cultural and economic heritage by supporting initiatives related to the accomplishment of this mission”, says Paola Alvano, Manager of Bci Corporate Affairs and Sustainability.

The artists will perform a program including beloved classics such as “Milonga del ángel”, “Balada para un loco”, “Invierno porteño” and “Adiós Nonino”, and masterworks of modern tango, such as “Escualo” and “Libertango”.

“For us, the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation”, it’s very important to establish this alliance with the Bci bank, because once again we could propose a project with free admission that opens the doors of the UdeC Theater, so the audience may come to enjoy the outstanding maestro Roberto Bravo”, says Mario Cabrera, Corcudec Manager.

Free lower and upper tier tickets were available at UdeC Theater box office on Monday 8 October from 12:00. Due to the high demand, all tickets were given out within a few hours. The same happened on Wednesday 10 with the balcony tickets. Currently, there are no tickets available.
