The 2016 Cinema Mondays series, produced by the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation, presents the British-American film “Carol”. Screenings will be on Monday, May 9, at 15:00, 19:00 and 21:30 in the UdeC Theater. Entrance fee: $1,200 (general audience), $600 (students).
In 1950s New York, Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara), a young woman who works in a Manhattan store and dreams with a better life, meets Carol Aird (Cate Blanchett), an elegant, sophisticated lady who is trapped in an unhappy marriage. They both experience an immediate attraction, which becomes more and more intense and profound, changing their lives forever.
