The 2016 Cinema Mondays series, produced by the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation, presents the film “Brooklyn”. Screenings will be on Monday, April 4, at 15:00, 19:00 and 21:30 in the UdeC Theater. Entrance fee: $1,200 (general audience), $600 (students).
In the 1950s, Eilis Lacey is a young woman who decides to leave Ireland for Brooklyn, New York, where she meets and falls in love with a young man. But one day she learns that her family is in serious trouble, and she’ll have to choose between staying at her new country or returning to her native land. Cast: Saoirse Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Julie Walters, and Jim Broadbent, among others.
