Cinemay Mondays, a series produced by the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation, presents the Uruguayan film ‘Mr. Kaplan’, starring Chilean actor Héctor Noguera and directed by Álvaro Brechner. The film will be screened on Monday, October 19th at 15:00, 19:00 and 21:30 in the UdeC Theater. Entrance fee: $1.200 (general audience), $600 (students).

After World War II, a Jewish man, Jacobo Kaplan, flees to South America. Once there, he becomes dissatisfied with his new rabbi as well as his community, family and life, and decides to embark on a crazy adventure: to capture an old German man, a restaurant’s owner, because Kaplan is convinced he’s a former Nazi officer. His aim is to take him to Israel and contribute to recover the pride and dignity of its people.
