Works for string instruments will be performed by ensembles from the Concepción Symphony Orchestra in the First Chamber Music Concert with free admission. The event will take place on Thursday, April 28 at 18:00 in the UdeC Theater.

Thanks to a joint effort by the University of Concepción Cultural Corporation and Cultural Outreach Directorate, this 2016 Chamber Music Season will be presented in the UdeC Theater with free admission and no invitations required

The concert will start with Aria from Suite Nº 3 by German composer Johann Sebastian Bach.

Then, by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, two works will be played: Concerto for two violins, Op. 3 n° 8, with Ramiro Vera and Jerson Mella as soloists; and Concerto for four violins, Op. 3 n° 10, with Pamela Astorga, Benjamín Aedo, Patricio Damke and Gonzalo Tejero as soloists.

Then, the Concerto for two violins, also by Johann Sebastian Bach, will be performed with Ricardo Olivos and Ximena Águila as soloists.

Finally, they will perform “From Holberg’s Time” Suite by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg.

This concert will be conducted by violinist Pamela Astorga.
